Termite Services
Security Pest Management uses both the conventional liquid barrier and the Sentricon
Termite Colony Elimination System depending on the type of problem and the owner's
preference. We also offer both residential and commercial new construction pre-treatments.
Conventional Liquid Barrier Treatment
Security Pest Management uses Termidor SC and Premise 75. Termidor is a new type of
non-repellant termite barrier control that has faced rigorous and through tests by US
and foreign researchers. Without exception Termidor consistently returned 100%
effective results whenever and wherever it was used.
Once a termite has ingested or contacted Termidor treated material with its body, it
becomes a "carrier". Every termite it contacts will be infected and will turn infect
every termite it contacts. Termidor works slowly letting Termidor contact many others
before dying themselves.
Although the "Transfer Effect" on individual termites is intentionally slow, the overall
colony management is fast.
A Liquid Barrier treatment is installed by creating a trench, roughly 4" wide x 6" deep
around the foundation of the structure. In certain instances, the soil adjacent to the
foundation is rodded into the ground every 12". The termiticide is applied into the trench
and filled back with dirt. Small holes are drilled in basement areas, add-ons, garages,
patios, and block voids to permit a "barrier" to be installed. Your Security Pest Management
professional will provide a diagram outlining your home or business and explain the
treatment supplies and techniques used.
Termite Baiting System
Security Pest Management uses the
Sentricon System by Dow Agro
Sciences - The Sentricon System
has proven its effectiveness on more than a million properties worldwide. It not only
eliminates the termite colonies that attack your home, but ongoing monitoring will protect
your home from future termite infestations. Here are some of the advantages of the
Sentricon System.
- It continuously monitors for the presence of termite activity.
- It's environmentally responsible because only grams of bait are used, only when
and where termite activity is detected.
- It requires no disruptive drilling or trenching in and around your home.
- It eliminates the need for basic liquid termiticide barrier treatment.
- It's an added feature that increases the value of your home.
- It's only available from highly trained Authorized Operators.
- More than 30 published scientific papers prove that the Sentricon System eliminates
current termite colonies and protects your home from future termite invasions.
A Professional technician will assess your property, install the Sentricon stations around
your property, and then regularly monitor these stations for the presence of termite activity.
When termite activity is detected, then the Sentricon System uses a very small amount of
Recruit termite bait - just a few grams - to eliminate the termite colony. Once the
attacking termite colony is eliminated, ongoing monitoring with Sentricon System acts like a
long-term termite security system to protect your property from termite damage.
- Sentricon stations are placed in the soil around your home.
- The stations are checked regularly for termite activity.
- When termites are found in the station, they are transferred to a bait tube device
containing Recruit termite bait, the bait tube device is then placed back in that station.
- The captured termites feed on the Recruit termite bait, tunnel out and attract other
colony nest mates to feed on the bait. As they do, the colony becomes eliminated.
- After a colony is eliminated, the bait is replaced with new monitoring devices. We
continue to inspect your Sentricon stations regularly to detect any new colonies that
might have invaded your property.
